JDY THEATRE PRESENTS: TRAIN FOR TWO

Train for Two is a production that uses movement, music, and time to examine the power of choice for the Jewish nation, throughout history and in modern times. The play is an original piece, based on the true family story of JDY Theatre director Dan Petrenko. Told through flashbacks to the past as well as a contemporary encounter between two strangers on a train, the narrative explores the extremes of human sacrifice in a state of crisis. Grounded on historical research and personal recounts, Train for Two is a unique and inspirational lens on the Holocaust era.

With direction by award-winning director, Dan Petrenko, and international champion choreographer, Veronika Bah, TRAIN FOR TWO promises to be an emotionally touching and inspiring journey through time.

Prior to the performance JDY Theatre will showcase a curated exhibit of Holocaust stories from Toronto’s local Russian-speaking Jewish community. Additionally, there will be some light refreshments, live music, and an opportunity to engage in meaningful, cultural conversations.
